"GREETINGS BELOVED!"
My dear sisters and brothers of the Wisconsin Conference, I greet you in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ.
As you know, we have been graced by God through the North Central Jurisdictional Episcopacy Committee to continue to serve together for the next four years.
I am blessed and excited to continue to serve among you!
In four to six weeks I will return to this space with a new and revised monthly article for our new quadrennium.
I look forward to continuing in ministry with you, in worship with you, in mission with you and in transforming the world for good together.
The greatest gift and the most powerful tool we have for ministry, worship, mission and for transforming the world is the lavish love of God poured out on each of us every day.
Let us share that love with our families, neighbors, with each other and with the world – every day. A good place to begin is practicing daily the three simple rules described so well for us by Bishop Job in his book The Three Simple Rules.
DO NO HARM
DO GOOD
STAY IN LOVE WITH GOD
Like Paul in Phillippians 1:9-11 “This is my prayer, that your love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight to help you determine what is best, so that in the day of Christ you may be pure and blameless, having produced the harvest of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ for the glory and praise of God.”
Peterson interprets Paul this way, “Live a lover’s life; circumspect and exemplary, a life Jesus will be proud of; bountiful in fruits from the soul, making Jesus Christ attractive to all, getting everyone involved in the glory and praise of God.”
Let’s get everyone possible involved – each and every day!
To God be the glory!
The peace of Christ be with you,
Bishop Linda Lee
